Something jumped out at me from Willard Romney's words about President Biden

Doesn't this translate to he has been ABLE to break through, etc. or am I just reading things through sleep deprived eyes?

"President Joe Biden is a genuinely good man, but he has yet been unable to break through our national malady of denial, deceit, and distrust,"

I read: yet he has been unable ….

The real question is why? I don’t think one person as president can counter the army of misinformation that surrounds us. Unless more people in leadership step up, the misinformation army will not be defeated.

So says the man who made he is money doing leveraged buy outs of companies after which
he fired the workers, looted the retirement funds, cut the people's health care, loaded the company
up with debt by borrowing against the company's physical property, and then said the company had
too much debt and then shut the companies down.

No Mitt, our national malady isn't on him. Remember how Jimmy Carter was ravaged over his honest "malaise" speech? Meanwhile. TFG speaks of carnage but says plainly it's The Others fault and only He can fix it.
