I engaged in a periodic exercise this morning that I always find instructive.

Periodically in the mornings, I will channel surf through the three major cable news outlets to see what they're covering. Here, for what it's worth, are the results of my 8:25 AM EDT check:

MSNBC--Highland Park shootings
Fox--Hunter Biden's laptop

1. Really, Hunter Biden's laptop? Don't the MAGAs get tired of the same old news?

I thought TV had to be constantly changing and updating to keep the audience watching? Must be the MAGAs don't get bored with totally stupid. Why am I not surprised.

3. They need a constant stream of misinformation to stay outraged

Think of it as topping off the tank. Two or three juicy reminders of how unfair life is for them keeps them at a near boil, ready to go to full boil any time their masters need an angry mob.

gets them hysterical over and over again. Especially after how many years has this been going on? 3-4? I mean you have to be brain dead to get excited about something you've heard too many times to count.

NY Times: Democrats Seize on Roe Backlash to Court Moderates (Highland Par was several articles down the home page)

NY Daily News: Bronx man, 62, killed during terrifying spate of Fourth of July gun violence was innocent bystander (Highland Park was half-way down the home page)

NY Post: 'RIFLE SPRAYING BULLETS' (Highland Park with bloody photos)

Oddly, the Post didn't have anything about Biden's laptop...

Flipped over to Fox this morning at 6:15 - Hunter Biden's laptop
For at least 10 minutes. He had contact info for people at Google.

Seriously this was all they talked about until the 6:30 commercial break.
