Sure he is using teleprompter. Most people speaking to the nation do. However, he is using it masterfully. He doesn't sound bumbling to me. A few slips of the tongue that anyone would make. It feels good to have an enemy when you have to justify your attachment to your tribe. Any and everything becomes a stone to throw at the “others.” It’s what keeps that adrenaline flowing, and it’s risk free.

I hate to say it, and I’m terrible at it too, but if we completely quit responding to that kind of thing they’d just have one another to talk to, and while it wouldn’t stop it, it wouldn’t reinforce it so much either.
