is whether they will win - and I think not. They could show up and plead the 5th, but that's kind of a bad look, especially for a sitting senator. Seems like Lindsey and pals got their asses in a crack this time.

He couldn't care less about "bad look."

The people of South Carolina re-elected him already by a sizable margin, and they'll do it again and again and again and again, regardless of his actions.

In fact, taking the 5th would probably help him raise money, and even more people will vote for him.

But hey, you never know, perhaps a Miracle will happen.

is inexplicably adored in his home state, considering that he's a tergiversating weasel and an all-around despicable character. But in some circles, South Carolina being one of them, that's not a bug, it's a feature. Still, taking the 5th is a bad look for a senator in some other, saner areas of the universe.

They could just choose to ignore them completely. The odds are, what… 1 in 4 that they’ll be any consequences to pay.

How would it be enforced ? It's not like Georgia can send troopers to arrest Graham in DC or South Carolina and I doubt they will be doing an extradition.
