DA Willis does not mess around, she means business.

In her interview she hinted there could be more subpoenas and possible indictments before the election. That would be great. She said if she is not finished by the time early voting starts, she will simply pause and start back up after the election.

It is my belief she must be coordinating with the DOJ in some way. When it comes to Garland, I have been waiting to see what he does after the committee hearings are complete and their evidence is transferred over to the DOJ. The committee will most likely recommend charges be brought against Trump and others.

I don't mind Garland being secretive when it comes to his investigation. After the hearings are over he must speak out, take more action, and let the American people know that the coup plotters will be held accountable. If he doesn't I will be begin to turn on Garland and I have been defending him big time.

The American people witnessed the crime. We have seen the evidence. We know the coup plotters are all guilty. After the hearings are over Garland must act more aggressively like DA Willis. I know it is not fair to compare a federal investigation to a State investigation. Garland has more on his plate. But after the hearings are over and their evidence is transferred over, Garland should be able to move quickly.

DOJ better not be waiting for criminal referrals? Any ideas?

Fani Willis has guts, Letitia James has guts.

Garland is waiting for all of the committees evidence to be transferred over. We are only seeing a fraction of the committees evidence.

I believe Garland wants all the evidence before he moves forward, which makes sense. Garland has evidence the committee does not have and the committee has evidence Garland does not have. They must be combined to build the best possible case.

the select committee and Fani Willis are way ahead of DOJ, as far as evidence goes.

I consider that pathetic seeing as DOJ has so much more manpower, resources, and clout.

The select committee has to go through the courts and can't even get DOJ to help enforce a Mark Meadows subpoena, while DOJ can do search warrants, wire taps, grand jury subpoenas. DOJ should be ahead of the select committee.

Fani Willis is certainly way ahead of DOJ and she needs to coordinate with DOJ just in case DOJ decides to indict inner circle people.

What, in fact, is the DOJ doing? Is it pursuing Trumpist criminals or not? Or is the DOJ so rife with anti-American staff that Garland is rendered impotent?

I've been supposing for a long time that what's happening is the whole process has been intentionally dragged out and is scheduled to be at a frenzied peak in late October. But, if that's the case, it's too much like political theatre and not enough like "swift justice" for my taste.

But then, I'm a "make a list, check it off and get onto the next list" sort of person.

In garland.

Someone I do still have a lot of faith in is Rep. Adam Schiff and he has been very vocal about what he sees as the DOJs lack of action on anything having todo with DT. Like garland allowing the statute of limitations run out on several charges that could have been applied to DT.

We have been duped before into thinking the Dems were really serious about accountability. There was Fitzmas… then Mueller… both of these fizzled out. I thought for a spell that NY DA Vance would get results unfortunately it turns out he was just blowing smoke, I doubt he ever had any intention of actually bringing charges against DT and then his replacement killed the whole thing…

There is still hope for DA James investigation but honestly after her “I’m running for Governor” stunt I am not holding my breath.

The J6 committee is the best chance. Rep. Schiff has made a comment that the J6 Committee has made it “difficult for DOJ to avoid investigating DT.” If that is the case so be it.

Hopefully I am wrong about garland…we will see. DT and his minions must be held accountable. If they are not then we will see someone else come along who will be ever worse and most likely much more successful.
