The traitors of our country are not going to win. they will lose. I do not fear the traitors. I am tired of the Trump voters fear. Many of them are in prison or dead because of their delusional fear. That trend will continue.
It's a free country, people can live in fear 24 hours a day, 7 days week, if they want. I will not do that, they can all go fuck off.
What we are living through is not permanent. It's going to change. This type of fear and extremism, eventually burns itself out.
I know my country, I know it's history. I know I am on the right side of history. I know the traitors, the Trump voters are on the wrong side of history. They cannot win, they are doomed to live in infamy. It is being written as I type.

(100,081 posts)Fox News is the 800 pound gorilla in the room that we're still refusing to address. In the last 20 years, they've stolen 3 presidential elections, the Supreme Court, and the states of Florida and Texas. They are scrambling people's brains and turning them into mush. They are steering this country into a very dark and dangerous path that is embracing extremely far right fascist authoritarian views and turning America into a one-party dictatorship. Until we deal with them and start holding them accountable for the things they say it's going to be same shit, different year.

(15,825 posts)Some watch it 24 hours and some watch for one hour. Their highest show gets about 4 million. Why does it seem 200 million watch? Because everyday Americans talk about Fox News. Same with trump. It is an American addiction that crosses all politics. Its absolutely the strangest phenomenon. Americans are making the network more then it is. Remember 4 million watch but 300 million talk about it daily. Fing weird!!!!!

I do agree with your truths. It's the damage along the way that terrifies me. Like Germany, 1920s - now.
I believe we need to rebuild from the ground up. Are we capable?
I read something yesterday along the lines of:
The founders were slave-owning men who saw women as property. Of course, our founding documents are not infallible.

Seems to me, there are plenty of things to fear these days.
Republicans are doing all they can to make sure your vote doesn't count. Women don't have bodily autonomy and we have been cautioned that this is only the beginning. Murderers are mowing down people in public. The insane cabal has power to convince other like-minded people that they need to take up arms against anything and anybody on the liberal side of the spectrum. The climate keeps getting more and more dangerously hot. Inflation is hitting people hard.
There's a lot to fear.
There's also perspective. Like, will any of this kill me right now? No. Then I need to put it into perspective.
There's also action, which, when taken, helps people feel they at least have some control over situations they feel they can't control.
