President Biden is in full, eloquent, heart tugging Joe Mode giving Medal of Freedom awards

Remember TFG’s awards? It was enough to gag a goat.

THIS — wow. Back to watching.

Just one comment: at the core of his comments about the religious people: “Faith without works is dead.” Nuns on the Bus! Take that, you miserable SCOTUS fanatics.

There's something wrong with you if you don't like Joe Biden.

Also, I don't want to hear I like him as a person but I strongly disagree with his policies crap. Name one liberal/progressive principle or policy that harms anything or anyone.

… in every respect.

There was at least one nun, who became a lawyer to help the poor, and Nuns on the Bus were mentioned. Being Joe, he told an anecdote about meeting Pope Benedict when he was Vice President. Joe Biden’s avocation is theology (he told us) and Benedict is a great theologian (I’m sure he is, but also too rigid for words), but he was a bit taken aback when the Pope asked him for a bit of advice. So VP Joe Biden said something like: “Go easy on the nuns. They are more popular than you.”

One of the founders of SNCC, who was a co-ordinator of the Freedom Riders, was also honored: just before her group set off she took a call from Atty Gen Robert Kennedy, who warned her of the violence ahead — she said: “We know someone will die, but we don’t know who. We have all made our wills and signed them.”

I wish I could remember them all. There were Gabbie Giffords, a NY COVID nurse, two female sports heroes — Rapinoe and Simone Biles.

Major civil rights lawyer (Rosa Parks, MLK, etc) and then the first Latina head of an American university.

Sandra Lindsay, the Jamaican -American nurse looked just over the 🌙 to get her medal. So happy for her.

Shame that Denzel Washington caught COVID and had to miss it, but Bilden said he will do a new singular presentation for him.

They all were deserving.

And yes, Biden was magnificent.

7. His beautiful smile is contagious. I smiled (and teared up a little) through the whole thing.
