This seems to me to be a denial about what they just did

This is from a theological web site that talks about what comes next after Rose was overturned. I read it twice and it seems they are blaming the left for pointing out what comes next. I thought it was an interesting look inside their minds and how they think. Blaming the left for having to feed these kids. Are you kidding me, no that is how I read it. Link to the editorial below

It's linked to the Claremont Institute. It's an outrageous call for a witchhunt muriel_volestrangler Jul 2022 #1

not just about abortion, but about Black Lives Matter too.

It's also profoundly dumb ("who has allowed men to dominate in women’s sports?" - it just makes shit up).

The Claremont Institute is an organisation linked to John Eastman and others involved in the attempted Jan 6 coup. The author is an authoritarian who is indeed trying to start a theocracy.

Every priest and every pastor who either bent the knee to Black Lives Matter or raised their first against the protection of the unborn child should be pulled from their pulpits, stripped of their authority, and offered one of two paths forward: to beg for forgiveness from their congregation or be exiled from the church.

Just blame the left for bringing it up. My daughter had three kids. Also has epilepsy. Last child she had a grand mall when she went into labor she had to have a 40K helicoptor ride to a womens hospital where they did a C section. She was going to have a C section anyway and then have her tubes tide. But the papers were not signed. She was going to sign papers on a Monday, but went into labor on a friday. The doctors were calling their lawyers and everything else before doing the surgery. any way she told me if she became pregnant again she would have an abortion to not leave her kids without a mother. She lives in Florida and I am in Kansas. Lots of stories just like mine out there. If you read the editorial lots of what we call mental gymnastics, just not make sense.

When you get your (and I am very sorry to anyone on DU who has this degree) your doctorate in philosophy from a theological institute and you write in the "Evangelical" section of whatever blog, you are pretty constrained in what you can say and think.

You take your cues from a book, that was put together by men, based on oral traditions from people who had no scientific understanding of their world and were trying to make sense of phenomena using "gods". Those views have not changed substantially after hundreds of years of advancement by the rest of society. People have used that book in so many different ways to manipulate other for power. Why are there thousands of denominations of "the Church" each of them claiming to be the "one true" religion? If it is such a clear book, why so much confusion?

An embryo is not a child. A fetus is not a child. They certainly have the potential to be a child, but they are ONLY children when you follow the dictates of the crazy system I described above. 25% to 50% of pregnancies end in termination by natural causes. By your logic, the question would be "Why does your god kill up to half the babies conceived?" Is that part of the "mystery" that only god knows? Part of the grand plan?

The only way that Conservatives can achieve their "cultural and moral" ideals is to become a theocratic authoritarian state. They can try to dress up their intent in any way they want, it is still an imposition on EVERYONE that is needed to bring about their "cultural shift" whereas the cultural shift from the liberal perspective just happens naturally as people get smarter about their world.
