2. Thank, EU Parliament!

Glad to see level heads SOMEWHERE on the planet. Just too bad your vote will do nothing for woman in nearly half the United States. And that includes 10 year old GIRLS who will be forced to give birth while their own bodies are not fully matured.

I think this has to be the most cruel and medically despicable thing I have ever heard of. A child of 10 is still developing. HOW THE HELL can they possibly be anatomically able to give sufficient nutrients from their own body to help grow a fetus? Won’t this stunt their own growth? Further, if they have morning sickness, a child is much more likely to develop dehydration and electrolyte imbalances. And what about the extra weight strain on the female child’s own body?

I’m sick to my stomach wondering how grown human beings, especially the all-too-silent AMA and OB-GYN membership can stand by and let this happen. Where are they with outrage?

HELLO AMERICA. IS ANYONE LISTENING??

OK, sorry. Rant over. 😢

"The European Union’ parliament on Thursday condemned Poland’s recent near-total ban on abortions and called on the Polish government to make sure it no longer leads to the death of pregnant women.

The condemnation came following news that a woman died of septic shock in her 22nd week of pregnancy after doctors failed to perform an abortion and waited for the fetus to die.

In a resolution, the 27-nation bloc’s parliament voted 373-124 with 55 abstentions to underscore their solidarity with Polish women and those who still continue to help them get abortions despite the restrictive law.
....
"The EU cannot remain indifferent to this nightmare. Polish women cannot be reduced to expendable incubators,” said MEP Robert Biedron of the S&D socialist group, which strongly backs the resolution.

“They are European citizens whose rights must be protected, even more if the attack comes from their own government,” Biedron said."....(more)

How about France and Ukraine? Ukraine has a more restrictive law than the Mississippi law in the Dobbs decision. (MS 15 weeks, Ukraine 12 weeks)

9. The reality in MS is that there was a trigger law in place that went into effect when Dobbs

overturned Roe. Your claim that the limit in MS is 15 wks is no longer valid. Abortion is absolutely banned there except when formal police report of rape has has been filed or if the mother's life is in danger. I'm sure you knew this, though.

"A so-called trigger law on abortion went into effect Thursday in Mississippi, the state where the case that overturned Roe v. Wade originated.

Under the new law, anyone who performs or attempts to perform an abortion in the state will be charged with a felony -- punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

The only exceptions are to save the mother's life or if the woman is a victim of rape, provided she has reported the crime to law enforcement. There are no exceptions for incest.

MIssissippi Gov. Tate Reeves praised the news with a tweet Thursday that read, "Today we wake up in a state where the church doors are open and the abortion clinic's doors are closed. All the Glory to God the Father! Amen!"...(more)

10. You are ignoring that most European nations have restrictions on abortion.

And those restrictions tend to be harsher than current abortion laws in most states.

11. Not wasting any more of my time on this. No country in the EU has a law

as harsh as MS or many of the "trigger law" states, including the state where I live.

Yep, they're just that vile.

Due to TFG and a corrupt GOP, our shining light on the hill has temporarily failed the world but President Biden, VP Harris and our Congressional leadership are doing their best to reignite it
