Here in NJ I just paid $4.729 for gas, down from 5.099 less than two weeks ago!

Thank you President Biden….

In all seriousness there has been absolutely no media coverage of any decrease in the price of gasoline, including diesel which has come down somewhat in a relatively short period of time. Now if Trump were president they would not have made no mention of increasing gas prices but upon their lowering, they would’ve said that he enacted initiatives behind the scenes which allowed this to happen. As far as the press is concerned, Donald Trump is in fact still the president of the United States because he is still the lead story. No one can compete with him for headlines, as all those Republicans found out in 2016. It would be as though you were watching say a ballet with the greatest dancers in the world and right next to the stage there was a head-on automobile collision. This is what happened to politics and we have paid a terrible price for it.

I was shocked to see it below $4, and called a few people to let them know. Hope the slide continues!

The national average price of regular unleaded peaked at 5.016 on June 14. Today, the average is 4.721, according to AAA. It has decreased by almost 30 cents a gallon in 24 days.

This is why suspending the gas tax is a bad idea. Even if they had started talking about it a month ago, it wouldn't have happened yet, and the 18-cent federal tax would have been ignored in the face of dropping prices.

Diesel has not dropped as much - from 5.816 on June 19 to 5.675 today, a decrease of 14 cents in 19 days.

Here in NC, the price has dropped from 4.671 on June 13 to 4.364 today.

Trump would have been out there gloating that he and he alone did all of that

but our county (Outagamie) has been among the lowest throughout this manufactured spike, for some reason.

Gas station near our house is $4.74. I remarked to my husband as how almost no media outlet has made note of that.
