Gov. Ron DeSantis plans Utah fundraiser with GOP megadonors, signaling possible presidential run

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is planning a private fundraiser in Utah later this month that is expected to draw some of the country’s wealthiest Republican donors as he signals a possible run for president in 2024.

DeSantis is set to head to Utah the week of July 18 for the private gathering, according to people familiar with the matter. Many asked not to be identified because the campaign is trying to keep the private event from getting too much public attention.

DeSantis spokeswoman Lindsey Curnutte wouldn’t confirm any details, saying the campaign doesn’t “discuss private fundraising events with members of the press.”

“Nice try, man” DeSantis coyly replied in an interview with Fox News last month, declining to answer when asked whether he would get into a primary fight with Trump in a run for the White House.

You don't start planning to run for President, unless you KNOW that you have locked up the more imminent Governor's race upcoming.

The MORONS in FL will re-elect him with a 5-10% margin.

I have a great fear that if it's not TFG as the nominee, it's going to be DeSatan. If either of them gets in, expect America to get even more fucked after 2024.

Wouldn't want a obvious rival as his vp. Pence was nice and docile, but DieSantis would out stage him wherever possible. What a show that would be!

I hope he wins the primary, he is a fucking dork. I have seen him debate before. It might work in Florida but it won't work at the national level. He is no Trump, no matter how hard he tries. Trump is a once in a lifetime cult leader. People who try to repeat what he has done will fail.

But DeSatan polls extremely well Nationally. Why? I don't fucking know, but he does seem to attract the cultlike repub voters, like flies to a mound of shit.
