with a chemo cocktail. Across from us is a guy wearing a mask (no mask, no entry!) also being infused. The mask is black with white lettering,"This mask is as useless as Joe Biden."

I so dearly wanted to ask him why he trusted these people to diagnose him with a disease that will kill him, let them infuse his body with the precise amount of poison that will kill the cancer but not him yet not trust them to tell him that a piece of cloth will prevent him from catching a virus. I mean, how does he know that cancer even exists? What makes him think that chemo and surgery even work?

The staff were cheery and chatty with all the other patients but oddly withdrawn around him. Whoda' thunk it?

10. I chatted with a nurse at a clinic a while back who told me she dreaded dealing with the MAGAs.

She said they come in needing, asking for help, then they proceed to argue over every little thing, criticize the clinic and the staff, and refuse to take and follow the medical advice. Then they show up days later yelling about how the clinic didn't help them, they're worse than before they came in.

She said there is no reasoning with them.

27. I did that recently.

I was at my doctor's office and this older man is in line with his mask down over his nose. The receptionist asked him to put his mask on before coming up to the counter. He had the exact same mask. "This mask is as useless as Joe Biden". He started grumbling and complaining loudly that masks don't work.

I just stood up from my chair in the waiting room and asked him directly "If you don't trust your doctors and our leading scientists who tell you to be safe and wear a mask, why on earth are you here? Are you going to tell them you don't want any tests, you don't want any medicines, you don't want their opinion on whatever health issues you came in about? Are you gonna ask Tucker Carlson to come in and examine you and give you a prescription? Come on man."

He was shocked that no one there stood up to take his side. He didn't have a reply. His wife was just staring at me with her mouth wide open until the man put his mask back on and walked up to the counter. Then she looked over at me and mouthed "Thank You".

I'm scared to do that most times. You never know when a Trumper is gonna do something really stupid. But in that moment something took over and I just let loose.
