Has anyone heard of this?

I'm going to be a little vague here on purpose.

It is related to a situation that some people I know are in, and I think I'm being lied to.

Got only one or two Covid vax shots at the most.

Were not careful. Not masking properly. No social distancing, daily risky situations.

Gave up any type of masking at all masking too early.

Got Covid.

Said it was no big deal.

Got "sick" again shortly after.

Said they home tested for Covid only once when they got "sick" the second time, and test came back negative.

Hospitalized with "pneumonia", but Dr. said it was not Covid.

Am I being bullshitted?

I think I am, and I'm pissed off.

Thanks in advance.

Sure, it's likely they do, given the era we're in, but not a certainty.

Ergo, nobody can 100% accurately tell you either way if you're being BS'd, assuming that's the specific question.

Pneumonia is an infection of one or both of the lungs caused by bacteria, viruses, or fungi. There are more than 30 different causes of pneumonia, and they're grouped by the cause. The main types of pneumonia are bacterial, viral, and mycoplasma pneumonia.

If you think you are being lied to, due to their history of shady behavior, well trust your gut.

I am a retired Radiographer (XRay Technologist), I took my first pneumonia 2 view chest films in 1983, lots of causes for pneumonia.

or any other lecture about COVID.

My dad has given up on caring about COVID since early in the year. He is coming down with a really bad cough for the last 2 days. My mom is starting to cough as well. I am probably gonna hear a lot of "COVID isn't that bad" when he recovers. Nevermind it's a different kind of COVID than in 2020. Nevermind he is still coughing his lung out. But the youtubers he watches convinced him that he needs no VAX or masks. Luckily, we got him to take his 3rd shot back in December so I hope it's enough for him to survive COVID.

I was certain I had COVID a few weeks back. Fully vaxed and boosted twice. Work from home and really only go out to ride my motorcycle. Did 4 tests, all came back negative. Started like a head cold, moved to my chest. Low grade fever and felt like I had been hit by a truck. Lasted about three weeks. Coughed my head off the whole time. Now it's gone. And I feel fine.

Even when a person no longer tests positive for Covid, they can get a recurrence or develop other respiratory illnesses anew in subsequent weeks and months.

Most people recover and that is that as far as respiratory symptoms. However, damage to the lungs can render someone susceptible to a different illness before the organs fully heal.

So I wouldn't dismiss the idea out of hand. It happens.

Covid after refusing to get vaccinated fully often BS friends/family. They also seem to be fine with exposing those around them.

We had a cousin who was positive ask us to pick him up at the airport 🤨.

However, home tests sometimes produce false negatives.

In an individual COVID infection ran through stages. People would go through the first stages, feel better, get up and go out in the garden, and (to be blunt) drop dead.

Pneumonia is fluid in the lungs, not how the fluid got in the lungs.
