Tucker Carlson's greatest fear

The Fox News star is afraid of a lot of things — CRT, immigrants, vaccine mandates — but lately it’s become clearer what his greatest source of terror is.

Fox News star Tucker Carlson is the right’s avatar of grievance, the conductor of its orchestral whine about America’s tumble into cultural decadence, its principal hero in a fairy-tale battle against the dark magic of the Very Woke. There has been talk about him running for president, but that would be a demotion from where he is now, widely recognized as “the most powerful conservative in America.”

And yet, he’s also a wimp. He is afraid of a lot of things — CRT, immigrants, vaccine mandates — but lately it’s become clearer what his greatest source of terror is: women in power.

Unlike Carlson's other phobias, I think this one is rooted in reality. Critical race theory remains an opaque legal philosophy and not an instruction manual for K-12 students; immigrants commit crimes at a lower rate than those born here; and vaccine mandates save lives. But women with agency? We threaten his whole world.

Just a few days ago, Carlson admitted it plainly: “In my mind, the archetype of the person that I don’t like is a 38-year-old female white lawyer with a barren personal life.” (Gosh, I wonder how that word “barren” got in there.)

I can't wait for TC to fall on his face and be escorted from the room.

He's a twisted motherfucker. I wonder how they broke the news to him that his mother was leaving so she could go be a bohemian. I wonder if his mom said bye to him and I wonder what adults said to him about his mother. Some people think that it's easy being in a wealthy family, but they often have disturbing problems. I'm not very sympathetic towards him because of all the grief he's causing now; I'm just acknowledging the fact that this monster was likely created by his family. Sometimes he looks like he's barely holding it together. He needs help, but I doubt he would take the help if it was offered it.

Not sure if that is true, but it would explain so much. Only too glad to tell him, back in the bad ole good ole days when even wealthy women had little, if any, agency over their lives shit happened. Lots of shit. And just like the United States being born from the abuse of power of Kings and Popes, women's sufferage was born of that same abuse of power. Suck it Little Lord Fauntleroy.
