He said, in his somewhat muddled speech, likely because of cognitive decline, that he was in the lobby of the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Stein used to be a Law Professor, but apparently gave up an academic career to become a political commentator which he has been horrible at. For a smart guy he really has stupid views about the world.
