'He killed my baby': Fayetteville woman's grandparents challenge police account of shooting

https://www.fayobserver.com/story/news/2022/07/04/fayetteville-woman-shot-police-grandparents-respond/7802353001/

When officers arrived, they didn't seem to believe Johnson's statements about the vehicles, and she became increasingly agitated, her grandfather said. At one point, she agreed to go to the hospital but didn't trust the officers to escort her, instead requesting an ambulance, he said.

"Psychosis was setting in," Iwanski said. "She was sick ... anybody could see it from a mile away."

Concerned for his granddaughter, Iwanski took an officer into another room to explain Johnson's condition and recent hospitalization.

"I told him that this isn't a normal situation," Iwanski said. "This is a mental health issue here. ... He's the guy that became the shooter. He's the guy that killed her — that one."

Is to know once more, for those in the back --- police lie.

Always.

But most particularly in instances where criminal conduct by police is at issue.
