Yosemite fire update

The incident web's latest update is about a day old.
https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/8209
But it's "official"

The Sierra News Online seems to be up to date.

I didn't run into a paywall.

I think the main takeaway is that the firefighters are doing everything possible to save the giant sequoias, and that they are very likely to survive.

I am hoping that the peak fire has passed, though you never know, with heat in the high 90's.

This was todays look-see.

Fire is past the ridge.
Plume was less in the evening.

...to the closed "view point" next to the old tunnel tree, I even saw a bear on that hike (well his posterior, he/she ran...which is the proper response). It's heart breaking. The Chilnualna Falls area isn't too far from there. I've been to Yosemite so many times, that I've completely lost count.
