I have actually met a J6 insurrectionist
I was childhood friends with his dad and would see him periodically over the year. His dad was a nice guy and very laid back. If he talked politics is was while I was away because I never heard him broach the subject. He passed away from cancer before COVID19 hit.
I knew his son as an infant and when his dad was laid out I talked to his son and expressed my condolences. He seemed a bit distant but I though losing his dad (he was in his early 60s), would be the reason he was grieving in such a fashion.
A year and a half later another friend of mine emailed me to tell me his son was in some kind of trouble over January 6th. I read all that I could and found he was inside the Capital Building. Needless to say I was blown away by this revelation. As far as I know he is getting one of the stronger sentences, possible years of imprisonment.
I needed to get this off my chest. I will not name names out of respect of his dad who was a good man. I hope he didn't know his son's life was going in that direction but I can't see how he could NOT have known something was up.

They don't even understand that redress is built into the system. That's what shocked me. Not necessary to scale the Capitol wall, buddy. Sheesh! Go out and build a movement if that's what you want. And don't tell me that's too hard because I've done it myself. Not once, not twice, but several times. And yes, I even got laws passed! Wowie kazowie. A system that accounts for all that and they don't even notice.
don't know if she went inside but she was at the rally. 
I need some help that normally would come from that level of the county, but now waiting and hoping she loses next election. I can talk to my repuke neighbors and acquaintances, but not someone that far gone.
