While the Prof nails it I'll just mention one detail. The attacks come at night so orc drones can't locate the Ukraine artillery. Even if the orcs could locate the guns from the artillery fire Ukraine will have moved the HIMRS by the time the orcs can launch their inaccurate shells. Shoot and Scoot.

(47,131 posts)The Russians don't seem to adapt very well to current war conditions.
They leave their fuel and ammo in very obvious places. Sitting ducks.

(7,611 posts)Their logistics system for arty shells is the same as it was in the 19th century. And they are running out of trucks.

(47,131 posts)On paper they were a world class army. In real life, not so much.
I am still trying to figure out why they did not use their air power in the initial days of the invasion.
Yes it looks like they are running out of trucks, maybe fuel and ammo too. Or maybe the field commanders are all in their tents drinking vodka. They seem to be asleep at the wheel. Everyone in the world knows Ukraine is going after RU depots.

(47,131 posts)Right it was clear early on in the invasion, RU AF no where to be seen, they had not captured the airfields, no air control of Ukraine skies, etc.
The lack of RU control of the skies over Ukraine led to lack of ground control too.
Really it is one of the big mysteries of the war.
