Why we always seem to be willing to "deal" with the wrong side?

Why meet with Saudi Arabia and not meet with Iran? If Iran is named the most dangerous threat to the world why not meet with Iran. We are the ones who broke the former deal that was giving us what we wanted or at least what we "said" we wanted. We broke the deal and are angry with Iran because they are looking out for their own interests. Yet we hardly blinked when Israel bombed inside the nation of Iran. We were on the right treat with Iran just as we were on the right track with Iraq concerning inspections and the faked threat of WMDs. Why the hell would we leave the gate open for Putin and Russia with Iran? We should be the ones meeting with Iran if they are such an imposing threat. Seek out our mutual interests. Remember Iran is the nation surrounded by hostile nations all of which except Iraq have nukes.

So now we are willing to give the Saudis offensive weapons? WTF? I hope this isn't so. More damage to the USA as been done by Saudi Arabia than by Iran, here we go. Our soul and lives for oil.

Several of our self-made enemies have oil...but we don't need their damn oil unless our oil companies can own them.
Venezuela comes to mind.

They should be giving us weapons and boat loads of $$$$$. Who protects the shipping lanes so the can hold us hostage to their oil whims. They have plenty of money, if we give a penny to them we have jumped the shark IMO.
