While it must be uneven, and some sectors are undoubtedly hurting, overall, the economy is doing well (danger of overheating, even). Demand is outpacing supply in materials and services, leading to inflation, but also to very low unemployment. It's a delicate balancing act for any president's OMB facing a situation like this, but it's also a "problem" most recent Republican presidents would have given their eye teeth to have.
Democratic presidents from Clinton to Biden have been not only cleaning up Republican economic disasters, but solving them and righting them. Sure, Reagan was old when he sank our economy. W was much younger, and he sank our economy, too. Clinton way young, and he repaired the economy. Biden is older, and he repaired the economy, too. So? His age is a media-invented factor. Trump is an old demented blow-hard who was unqualified to hold elective office. MTG, Boebert and Gaetz are young blowhards who are unqualified to hold elective office.
Only bored members of the media want us to think that age is number that is inverse to ability.
