(3,324 posts)They have some excellent discussions before the hearings. MSNBC for the recap at 8 pm though.

(115,735 posts)I usually watch MSNBC for these political events, but not for the J6 hearings as long as she's commenting. I don't think it's her age, though; she's been annoying for as long as I can remember.

The Suits On High want her to be the face of MSNBC.

(28,347 posts)I don't doubt they get a lot of complaints, on both Andrea and Chuck Todd. I bet both of them make the big bucks, too. Far exceeding others, like Katie Tur.
MSNBC wastes the noon hour on Andrea Mitchell, and Chuck Todd has ruined a once remarkable 'Meet the Press'.

(10,154 posts)In fact I've stopped watching the cable news outlets because they focus almost entirely on conflict and complaint. Very little news and lots of posturing. Although CNN and MSNBC aren't as bad as Fox they are still pretty awful.

(7,576 posts)I watch CNN. Can't stand Mitchell. But evening recap? MSNBC.

(117 posts)Switched over to CNN for lead-in to hearing today. Watching Anderson Cooper is a big improvement over Andrea. MSNBC - are you listening to/reading our feedback?

(9,983 posts)I can't stand her either, but I got dragged for calling her "Mrs. Greenspan" here even though I was mocking her at the time.
MSNBC is not listening to us on the subject of Andrea.
I think that the Greensponge connection is important.

(5,843 posts)When I was unemployed years ago I kept it on all the time and only turned the sound up when something grabbed my interest. Back then they didn't have the ever-present BREAKING NEWS crawl at the bottom of the screen - they only used it for - gasp! - news that just broke. Does anybody even remember what their non- breaking news crawl looks like? I rest my case.
Something awful has happened to ALL news since 2016, and msnbc is no exception. One thing I appreciated about Rachel is that she never has clips of the orange motherfucker on her show. But she's only on once a week now, and for post-hearing coverage. And to me, that's all that's worth watching.
The constant repetition of the same old shit spewed by the same old people who never have anything new to say, yet the constant BREAKING NEWS crawl really gets on my nerves. I';; tur it on when I get home from work but after a few minutes I turn it off.

(11,410 posts)Forever struggling to complete a thought. I have an 80 year old uncle who is easier to listen to than Andrea.
She also doesn't seem to very friendly towards Democrats. She is beyond her expiration date.
