We may as well pack up our Justice system and the SCOTUS if Trump is not imprisoned and

a few of his GOP enablers at well. Few will ever respect the law again if these evil doers are not imprisoned.

next time, which may be 2024.

Just going after the yokels and assholes who trespassed and broke stuff on 1/6 will do absolutely zero to dissuade those who tried to overturn the lawfully elected government with pieces of paper and bad faith ministerial misdeeds. The reports of the DOJ being surprised by Hutchison's testimony is a very disturbing sign, if true, that they don't fucking get it. The Capitol invaders, as murderous as they were, were not the primary danger to our government and civil society in 2020/2021. And they won't be in 2024.
