CSPAN3, for those who have access to that cable channel, is broadcasting live as are other free/cable news broadcast outlets.
For those without a TV and/or who are unable to watch (if at work or home or if traveling, etc but have a mobile device with internet access), here are a few of what are many streams that can be used to view/listen to today's session, including the J6 Committee's own stream on YouTube (the major broadcast - ABC, NBC, CBS, and cable networks CNN, MSNBC, etc., and print - WaPo, WSJ, etc., usually air and/or stream these hearings as well) . If you have a local or nearby Public Radio station, they will often broadcast the audio on those stations using NPR's feed -

The Right has flirted with the Far Right for so long, their messages are now indistinguishable. It's all about white supremacy.

(35,688 posts)I was wondering who the woman behind Ayres was--the woman in the light blue suit. I wondered because she had a sneer on her face as Ayres spoke. As I watched her, I said to myself who the hell is this?
Later she was identified by one of the committee members as being Ayres' wife.
I don't know how to account for that sneer. Body language belies words.
on edit: when I wrote this post, I had not seen these posts, which also refer to the sneer.

(19,204 posts)Not "too bright", but 68% of Americans have no type of College education of any kind. That doesn't mean college degrees, that's no post-high school education of any sort. Many of those people didn't even graduate from high school.
How the hell can we reach these people, because they're the type that rely on Facebook for their news, and are susceptible to these far-right, white supremacist liars?
We can't just give up on these people. We certainly can't reach all of them, but they're not all hopeless, are they?

(129,123 posts)the Proud Boys/Oathkeepers/3%ers doing the "paramilitary style "storming" of the building. In fact I remember seeing so many comments from pundits and others pointing out how there were literally certain small groups of camo-wearing individuals breaking into the building and moving "in formation".
Then you had state elected officials like here in PA, who were "sponsoring" groups and paying for buses.
So I don't know if the supremacists constructed that (although it could be one of their chapters) - but it's obvious that they seemed to be more focused on going on a "hunting trip" in the building in "military fashion".

(2,580 posts)The mistake our country made back then was to let both Nixon and Agnew skate on their crimes by resigning. Neither of those two rotten crooks spent a single day in jail. The unfortunate message that was sent is that you can get away with anything as long as you are powerful enough and are either rich or backed by people with deep pockets. The hateful toxic slime of bigotry has been around since the founding of this country and is way overdue for being faced and dealt with. But it needs its jet fuel of big money to be exposed and cut off. You named all the sources that have lead us to where we are. How those people can live with themselves, I don't know.
Yesterday, there was a concession trailer set up in my town on an empty store lot selling traitor flags and hats. Who would sell or buy that crap now? Knowing what we know. Traitors, that's who.
Other people have been idolized, but I can't think of any one of them who would've tried to destroy our country because of their popularity.
