(22,920 posts)and when I watch I may feel the same but I will fight my natural inclination to feel compassion. The havoc these Qultists have wreaked on us as a collective is horrific. Im glad they feel remorse and am grateful they came forward. I just feel compelled to push against compassion for what some may see as gullibility. I grew up in a KKK environment and remorse is usually linked with being outed. Had the insurrection succeeded, the Qultists would be hunting us down.
But thats me.

(22,920 posts)That's important. Very important. Kudos to him.
It's always such a fine line between not wanting to shun extremists who leave the movement, or people who commit heinous crimes yet voice seemingly sincere remorse - risking them going back into the arms of hatred -- versus holding them accountable, not only within the criminal justice system. But when the direct victims accept the apology, that goes a long, long way toward healing.
Thank you again.

Personally, I think the most important step to ending the young, male mass shooter is to limit the internet use of our young. I know that is not the subject of this post, but I do think the internet can be a dangerous place for growing minds., but I dont have an answer.
I do know that I dont want someone monitoring everything I write.
