The word seccession came up a few times in the J6 hearings.

I'm of the opinion that if any states want to secede from the nation, let them go if they just want to go with no shots fired, no new civil war.

Go already. You're on your own. We'll draw up the papers for you to sign, or you draw them up. We''ll decide how to agree on government installations.

But understand, there will be no more federal funds forthcoming.

Bluh-bye.

Nope, you go, the Federal Government facilities and hardware all come back to the USA.

And they won't. It's just to get the whack jobs excited.

blue states, what stay in red states. Negotiations will take some time but if they want to go, please do.

If you don't want to be in the nation, we don't want you. And guess which party will have a rougher time? You will.

place, but the residents of New Amsterdam were like, "I'm not fighting over this. You want to call it New York? Go ahead. New York it is!"

Here's what I'd like to see: the MOMENT a state threatens secession, they cease to receive those Federal funds. Not after the shouting is done, the minute it is broached by the legislature or the governor.

See how long that lasts.
