New PollTrump has lost considerable support within his own base as he continues to plant the seeds for a potential 2024 run, with nearly half of Republican primary voters polled saying they want a new candidate in the next general election.
When asked who they'd prefer instead of Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was the next most popular option, though he has not yet confirmed whether he will launch a campaign.

The most striking of demographics that oppose a Trump reelection effort are those under 35 years old, 64% of which said they would object to Trump heading the 2024 ticket and instead said they would vote for somebody else in the Republican primary.
Even more concerning for Trump is primary voters who are college-educated, with 65% of those polled saying they would vote against Trump if he ran against other Republican nominees.

(10,252 posts)O he'll posture and hint that he's running. May launch a few trial balloons. But his enormously vain ego cannot tolerate losing a primary.

(32,645 posts)It's actually against the law to do that. Also it would be the LAST SCAM he could ever run. If Chump were to collect campaign donations and later decide not to run, people would be so done with him. That's why he wouldn't risk it.

(1,826 posts)In that I believe that four more years of Trump would completely destroy the fragile threads that are left of this nation but I also believe Trump will be the easiest candidate to defeat by far. So am I supposed to hope Trump wins the primary because Im confidant well beat him again in the general?? Cant imagine having to listen to him blovate through an entire election season again!
