“Still reeling from the Supreme Court’s decision to end Roe v. Wade, congressional Democrats are readying legislation to codify nationwide contraceptive access, LGBTQ marriage and parenting rights — and even potentially long-settled precedent on interracial marriage,” Axios reports.

Long story and I will likely post about it in the near future. He has assured me that as long as the Democrats hold the House, none of their wet dream bigoted bills will ever see the floor. Speaker Pelosi and the rest of the Democratic majority have no desire to let the QOP start trying to legislate hate.

No question, that is a great start.

I am glad, though, that they are prepared to take a step further after the ECOTUS erased Roe, and now are ready to codify these rights and protections. Sure, in a perfect world, this would've happen a long time ago. We can fix that now, though, and we do need to. It's time. It's definitely time.

And we can all do our part by keeping the House blue and by turning the Senate blue.
