So MAJOR, (German Shepherd) was protecting POTUS from SS?

That dog's spidey sense led him to bite a couple of times (IIRC). He was finally removed to another Biden residence.

Knowing what we know now about certain SS agents....

I believe that Major is fully exonerated. He knew. Dogs know.

My father was stationed at a base in Germany, and I was walking my dog in the woods near the Officer's Club. A man, who I guessed at the time was employed in the club, left the sidewalk and headed up the hill where I was in the woods. I was a teenager in high school at the time. My dog put up her hackles and started to growl at him. She obviously sensed or smelled danger. Thankfully, he backed away and left me alone. I have never forgotten how she protected me. She was a very loyal dog.

Our first one, Gigi, was a rescue. My kids were little. I was preparing dinner in the kitchen and the girls were arguing in the living room. I got angry and headed towards them to holler - and Gigi crossed my path and stopped me. She didn't confront me face-to-face, but she stopped me. That made me laugh and diffused the situation.

Sensitive dogs. I'm glad you had your girl in the woods with you.

A German shepherd, female, 70 lbs or so and a Weimaraner, female, 80 lbs.
We'd trained both to stop at our property lines. Neighbor across the street had 3 German shepherds. They'd escaped their pens and were exploring the neighborhood on their day out. My wife was in the front yard when they raced over to visit. The Weimaraner was at them in an amazing flash and fury, ran them to the property line and stopped dead and stayed while the 3 trespassers ran back to their pen where their owner found them 4 hrs. later. The Shepherd would always meet people at our door with my wife and accepted some at first sniff. Others never passed her sniff test. Time proved her sense to be true in every case.

The SS are, I'm satisfied, duplicitous and here-to-fore immune from criticism. Fuck the SS. Trust the dogs.

and loves everyone else.

One of the people is a narcissistic ex-boyfriend, and another is a narcissistic ex-girlfriend (platonic). They don't come here anymore, but when they did, she wouldn't stop barking until they left. The other is a family member who rarely comes here; he was in jail a few years ago for viewing child pornography online. On the rare occasion when he does come here, she won't stop barking until he leaves.

With anyone else, she might bark a couple of times, then she rolls on her back for tummy rubs.

She knows good people from bad. Dogs know.

ABOUT somebody and he showed it the only way he knew how. He was and is a Very Good Boy.

I had a dog once who didn't like tall dark men. I never knew why, but the months between the time she was reported stolen by her previous owner (August) and the time she showed up in our yard (January) are unaccounted for, so perhaps some tall dark man did her dirty. Anyone we knew who fit that description had to be properly introduced to her and thereafter had to stop and speak to her before entering the yard. Once my husband's best buddy, who fit the description, forgot---and promptly got his pants leg grabbed. Son #2 came out the door and yelled at the dog, "Porsche! Don't eat Mr. Wyss! Lawyers don't taste good!" She had let go by this time, as said gentleman had spoken to her properly, and we all had a good laugh.

... having climbed over a locked gate to do so.

Our pitbull charged to the front door and started barking like a maniac. When my wife answered the door, pitbull stopped barking - was just growling at the guy.

Guy was obviously checking us out for a burglary - no ID, no uniform, no intelligible reason for ringing our door bell.

I credit the pitbull for preventing a burglary, as within a week other homes were getting broken into.

BTW, the pitbull was always perfectly behaved around contractors and service people. She knew who belonged in our house and who didn't.

Particularly a large dog.

Saying it was okay by assigning the dog some superpower of knowing who to bite is seductive, but nonsense. I had a niece mauled and nearly killed by a dog. It had a history of biting, but it's owners convinced themselves the dog would never do anything so serious.

I wouldn't keep a dog that had bitten people multiple times.

It'll be interesting if the Secret Service agents that were bitten by Major are the same ones who were in cahoots with TFG and his henchmen. I sure hope that all of the texts can be retrieved.

"The 3-year-old Major’s misbehavior began in late February when he was with Secret Service agents at Biden’s home in Wilmington, Del.

According to an email sent on Monday, March 1, “This weekend in Wilmington, there were 3 minor incidents where Major nipped/ brushed up and nudged [agents].”

Secret Service agents were warned in an email how to protect themselves. “Panicking or running with only embolden animals so stand your ground and protect your hands/fingers by placing them in your pockets or behind your back,” the advisory said.""

Watch them in action in herding trials. They will nip the sheep very gently to coerce them into going where they should. Sheep have very tender skin and herding dogs are gentle in their use of influence.
I've had 5 GSDs in my life. I would trust each of them implicitly.

in the 60s. A man rang her bell, claiming to be with the power company and needing to check a gas leak. Her normally placid German shepherd snarled and barked at the man, so she declined to allow him entrance. Later, when Albert De Salvo was arrested as the Boston strangler, she recognized him as the man who had come to her door that day.
