Well in the 1950s that would have been impossible. Is that correct?

So, if you don't think that this country has changed for the better, think about that picture and what is going
on in Congress right now in these leaders ..

Amazing, and these changes are taken for granted in the U.S.A. as if it were always true. When I was young,
this would have been impossible. But it is there for all to see. Yes, and they are doing a great job of leading
this committee as we all can elaborate just by watching the hearings.

1. In order to get more positive changes made, we must address the 800 pound gorilla in the room.

And that 800 pound gorilla is Fox News. They are increasingly becoming a clear and present danger to the United States in multiple ways. They are steering America towards a future that embraces fascist authoritarianism over freedom and democracy. They are encouraging schools to ban books because it might allow kids to have independent thoughts. They are writing policy that bans LGBT freedom of thought and expression in states like Florida and Texas. Fuck them all to the highest circle of hell.

2. True. And we must be vigilant and active to preserve those changes.

We have a tendency to accomplish one goal and move on to the next. We need to remember to defend the progressive changes we have gained.

Every improvement to the human condition in history has been pushed forward by liberals and fought against by conservatives.
