It should scroll across every tv screen when CBS, et.al., are breathlessly yammering about INFLATION, as if that's an existential threat.

The baby can’t survive if the mother is dead. So both are dead.

It was a joke when the film was made before the ultra right wing took over rational thought. "Nip the problem in the bud, kill the mother and go to the source of the problems". We all laughed but that was 1996, over 25 years ago. Ha, ha...

It seems like "One step forward, two steps back".

Don’t know when or how long but sooner or later the sheer impracticality of this nonsense alone will usher it to an end. Maybe if enough people leave there won’t be a workforce or any new business coming into the state. I just don’t see any commerce growing up where shit like this is happening.

I wonder how many Republican females will vote to re-elect those representatives - that rejected that exemption.

Further, I wonder how do they rationalize it? Now for the Republican men - I totally understand, they view women as another form of chatel, but the women, I can't figure it.

What's interesting to me is that white supremacist separatist like Randy Weaver didn't want the government telling them how to live. But those same people are ok with these laws because it reinforces their ides of male dominance. Remember, these white supremacist folks think white men should be in charge. They don't think women have any rights.

We have more people than that in Broward county and have no Senators (Rubio and Scott do not qualify)

This is how you get minority rule.

Idaho, Montana and Wyoming have about 4 million people and 6 senators. But we've been talking on here for years about this.

The civil war should have ended the notion of states rights. It's really a dangerous concept because it doesn't adequately allow for extremist views to be diluted. And now we've got a supreme court who is hell bent on returning us to pre-civil war ideas of state rights.

But aside from a major constitutional amendment changing our government structure, there is nothing that we can do.
