5. Unbelievable player

The story goes that in 7th grade he asked the high school football coach what he should do to get ready. “Rake leaves. Pushups and sit-ups” he was told. Herschel loved watching TV. Every commercial break he’d something like 30 or 50 sit-ups and pushups.

When Jimmy Johnson took over the Cowboys he mandated weight training at the facility. No offsite stuff. He wanted to know they were working out. Herschel walks into his office and tells Coach that he’s never lifted weights. Johnson laughed thinking it was a joke. Herschel got his own room to do his work out. Hours long daily. He could do pushups and sit-ups endlessly.

Maybe he’ll say something that will allow them to be more accepting? They seem to understand his language?

Although his son is acting quite the troll even in regards to gays, so I dunno. I got nothing.
