With President Bidens approval rating mired in the 30s and with nearly 80 percent of voters saying the country is heading in the wrong direction, all the ingredients seem to be in place for a Republican sweep in the November midterm elections.
But Democrats and Republicans begin the campaign in a surprisingly close race for control of Congress, according to the first New York Times/Siena College survey of the cycle.

Based on a New York Times/Siena College poll of 849 registered voters from July 5-7.
Overall among registered voters, 41 percent said they preferred Democrats to control Congress compared with 40 percent who preferred Republican control.

(4,104 posts)Its whats we need to get people out to vote. Sometimes you have to scare the hell out of them. If what the SC is currently doing doesnt convince people why they have to vote, nothing else will.

(1,898 posts)I know that we're not always going to agree on policy, that there are different wings of our party. But we're all on the same team. We need to mobilize and act like we're the ones who are going to carry us across the finish line.
Let's not point fingers, let's not play the blame game or how we got here or if we're not happy with every member of our party. If we're going to have the gloves off, figuratively speaking, let's save them for the other side of the aisle, not for us.
