Trump's fundraising dips, trailing DeSantis

DeathSantis is beating TFG in fundraising.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/07/15/trump-fundraising-2022/?utm_campaign=wp_main&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social

Former president Donald Trump’s fundraising slowed in the first half of 2022, falling below $50 million in a six-month period for the first time since he left the White House 18 months ago.

A fundraising committee that directs money to his various political groups raised $17 million in the second quarter of this year, according to a new federal filing. That brings the committee’s haul to at least $36 million so far this year.

The tally does not include new direct contributions to Trump’s Save America PAC, which won’t be disclosed until late this month and have in recent months totaled up to $20,000. The PAC received $23,409 this quarter through WinRed, which processes online transactions for Republican candidates and committees.

The former president’s yields are falling as his time in the White House recedes further into the past. In the same six-month period last year, Trump collected more than $56 million in online donations, and then raised about $51 million from July through December of 2021.

into announcing his intention to run again in 2024. If the grift is slowing down, give them something to speed it up again.

Of course his impending legal problems would also benefit from throwing his rat infested hairpiece in the ring (at least he believes that) so I think we can expect Trump to announce his intention of running for president in 2024 well before the mid-term elections.

Eventually he’s going to have to attack drumpf to pull the MAGA base over to his side. When that happens, the bloodbath is going to be epic.

Which is alarming.

DeSantis is worse than Trump; DeSantis is more dangerous than Trump.

DeSantis is as much an illiberal neo-fascist authoritarian as Trump but unlike Trump has the political acumen to conceal his corruption and dishonesty.

the same forces as tfg?

I don't know...he doesnt have the deep Russian connections....maybe more recent ones?

Nor tfg's - gag - "charisma". Let's just say, his unique blend...

Yes, he's smarter. But so are we.

My gut tells me we might be able to nip him in the bud. And so, with American facism.

All I'm saying is Dems gotta get some real badasses out there. Look at how successful Fetterman is. But it's gotta be real and visceral. Authentic. It's gotta come wrapped in the "right" package... you know it when you see it.

I value how careful, rational, courteous, Dems are, but, as Newsom says - when the fight is in the streets, you've got to go there and meet it.

He knows Republicans are pure evil and have been working to take us back to medieval times for more than 40 years ... none of this "let's work together like we did in 1978" one-sided bipartisan bullshit.
