(222 posts)came up with the perfect phonic for the GQP, the 'Fear, Fraud and Fascist Party'. Why the Democrats have not adopted that as the go to reference for the fascists is beyond reason. It's perfectly descriptive and has a natural flow to it. I guess the Dem leadership's fearful the 'moderates' and 'independents' will not like it. Can't upset 'em, ya know.

The benefit of this attack line is not only is it humourous but it makes Oz hard to take seriously and if this continues it reduces him to a figure of ridicule.

This is to energize our side in preparation for the core campaign season. Get the people who would volunteer with our campaign excited and engaged.

doesnt always show goodness.
I was misinformed though. I didnt realize the fake doctor was still a Turkish citizen. I understood the meme to mean that he happened to be in Turkey when he voted in the US. I didnt know you could run for senate without even being a citizen.

(32,826 posts)He has already said he won't give up the Turkish citizenship. And he owns at least 2 residences in Turkey, in addition to several more the in the states.

(32,826 posts)Really the race isn't even that close. Fetterman can take the high road in this campaign for the most part.
However, those of us who aren't running a campaign, well WE can post this on social media even though Fetterman won't do it. Supposedly Dr. Oz has told Chump not to campaign for him in Pennsylvania. I doubt that he even talks to Giuliani. So we'll see.

(8,090 posts)But it's serious business, and ties into Mehmet's Turkish citizenship, service in the Turkish army, and votes in Turkish election(s). Which country is he loyal to? We'll see. But Twitter is ALL OVER IT, that I know.

retain his Turkish citizenship. Hes had a long career on TV, just like Trump, and pretends to be a real doctor just like Trump pretends to be a real businessman.
He wants to be elected to the United States Senate.
What is wrong with this picture?
There are any number of US Senators and Congressmen/ women who are immigrants and I can name several off the top of my head. But in no case do they retain citizenship in the foreign country of their birth they are proud Americans and citizens of the US.
xocetaceans
(3,873 posts)...as a Senator or Representative in the US Congress or in the judiciary for that matter? It's ridiculous on its face that any US politician or judge should have a potentially divided allegiance like that.
So, exactly how does the ad's position even remotely equate to being anti-immigrant? It's perfectly ok to have standards for elected officials and for the judiciary.
The next logical question would be if you think it's anti-immigrant that the US President is required to be a US citizen by birth. Is that anti-immigrant, too?

It's a valid issue for an election to US Senate.
