(24,334 posts)where it's not that expensive to live. Think north and inland. You won't have San Diego's climate, but a house won't cost a million dollars.

(24,334 posts)I live in a county in the northern part of the wine country. When I moved here in '91 it was solid red. It is now blue. It takes time, but it is a definite trend. A lot of it is baby boomers from Silicon Valley retiring here. Also work-from-home is bringing people here. Not so much to affect property values very much, but enough to elect Democrats. Our County Supervisors are nearly all Democratic now. The same thing is happening in nearby counties.

(12,223 posts)They tried to have him removed, but failed miserably.
They have tried to frame him time and again, but fail each time.
But they will continue to try to ruin his career, but he seems to understand that and always keeps on an eye out for their lies.

(1,946 posts)I just read an article last week about that very thing. It gave examples of how a specific event/law etc happened in CA, then something like 15 yrs later the rest of the country started doing same. I just tried to find it and no luck so far. It was interesting as it was really true. I think the article was in something like The Atlantic, or The Nation or some other magazine. If I can find it will come back and post the link.
We may not do everything right here, but you won't get me to leave!! All of the complainers can head on back to Texas or up to Idaho!

Up here in Oregon district 5, our DINO Congressman is, happily enough, on the way out. Jamie McLeod-Skinner beat him in the primary. Our Indivisible group worked hard for her and she won decisively! On to even better in November!
