Imagine the human drama that is about to befall the ranks of Republican women.

These are conservative women who are riding high in their moral pro-life carriages. They might be enjoying the moment now, but if nature follows its course, they are not going to be able to follow through with their own convictions.

I picture that in the span of ten years, their base of Jim McMorals are going to have their own set of offspring from different mothers. It's just the nature of the beast. So I hope these women who crave control over everyone else's behavior are going to learn to cope with their extended, blended families. They are going to have to be prepared to share their husbands with the children of other mothers. Or the other way, lose them to women that their love interests prefer. Because there will be options.

The financial hardship of these liaisons are going weigh heavily on men, over time. I expect that many will try to convince the women they impregnate to opt for abortion, against the law.

And here I suggest that you all watch your Republican acquaintances closely. Chances are they're going to reach out to their progressive acquaintances to get information that they can't ask from their own circles.

Personally, I hope they get turned in. These are not people who can think abstractly. They need more concrete evidence that abortion bans are a very bad idea, especially when the same leaders who opt for abortion bans, don't show any ability to take care of the problems facing today's population.

In sum, it's going to be a mess, especially when conservative single women realize that their churches are not going to provide them with the full services of child daycare, when they can't pay the bills.

7. Yup. And those that have means will find a way around the laws.

No one is going to keep anyone's secret. I hope they wallow in anxiety.

A lot of kids are going to lose their mothers when their fifth or tenth pregnancy goes sideways.

Three and a half months before an election that can help stop this backward slide. Their votes can make a difference.

I’ve been trying to do my part—making small donations in key states, writing postcards to swing state voters, and spreading the word on DU and elsewhere about this campaign, which I’m also participating in:

My friends and I are carrying around pens and sticky notes and/or big mailing labels (things with adhesives that don't cause property damage when removed) and writing messages such as:
- "Defend Choice - Defeat Republicans on 11/8"
- “On 11-8 Vote Blue — or else the GOP will take your right to birth control too.”
- In red states, people are including abortion access website links.

We're placing these notes in public restrooms, highway rest stops, transit stations, shopping malls--any high visibility place.

We'd love it if some DU-ers would do the same and spread the idea far and wide on social media. Thank you!
