2. This is very encouraging

I re-upped to Act Blue today. They supposedly offered an option to use Venmo but didn't provide necessary payment contact info. I kind of like using Venmo, its anonymous so I'd assume donating wouldn't lead to getting bombarded by donation requests. That has kept me from donating in the past sometimes, but since we are in an existential crisis, I can't let that keep me away,
