Might be a demand of Maddow's. If I were her, I'd have been fed up with those two, in particular, several years ago.

It’s just that, unfortunately, we all get old, and she needs to have a grand retirement party about now, complete with cake and awards and speeches.

She's had a great career in journalism. We all get older. People need to leave her alone. This is the type of stuff the lowlifes at Fox do. We shouldn't give them fuel to feed on. I also get perturbed about the comments on Chuck Todd. ANYONE on MSNBC is better than the grub dividing our country and spreading misinformation every day on Fox. We need to keep that in mind. Fox is your real enemy, not MSNBC.

We see Andrea Mitchell differently, my friend.

We both agree she’s had an absolutely stellar career, and worked hard at it. But she’s beyond the realistic end of it, and as she ages, I notice some increasingly glaring problems.

She gets messed up more easily now, sounding addled, losing her place in her copy or in what she was trying to adlib. It’s starting to look bad and make HER look bad.

I would love to see her make a grand exit with maybe a special retrospective of her work at NBC News, so she goes out celebrated, gracefully, head held high, and nobody has to see an increasingly uncomfortable slow-walk decline.

with her age; I've found her annoying for decades. Yes, she's better than anybody on Fox, but that's a low bar.

I’m with you — she’s had a great and pioneering career in journalism. I don’t agree with a lot of what she says these days, and I do think she’s diminished — but I don’t like to see her reviled as though she just showed up, somebody handed her the job and she’s never been anything else.

There was absolutely no excuse for that clear bias. I simply did not understand it. She was not the only one to be unfair to HRC, but I expected better from a fellow trailblazer.

I think it's her need to remain believable which she perhaps thinks requires facts to be accompanied by other-side-does-things-too-ism. But more to fault Democrats than to illuminate the faults of the GOP.

Fox News 'fails to adhere to basic journalistic standards', says credibility rater Newsguard

Source: The Press Gazette

By Bron Maher

Fox News‘ credibility score has been downgraded to “red” by media watchdog Newsguard, meaning it “fails to adhere to several basic journalistic standards”.

Fox has had an overall passing score since the ratings agency launched in 2018. (Disclosure: the author of this story, Bron Maher, was formerly a Newsguard employee.)

Newsguard garnered headlines in early 2019 for giving a “red” rating to Mail Online – that rating was shortly reversed, and the site now sports a green rating.

Fox had already failed one major criteria – “gathers and presents information responsibly” – prior to 18 July, when the rating was downgraded.
