I am assuming they could get obstruction of justice for the text messages?

But what other crimes could they be covering up that is worse that those charges?

Right ditch the texts.

The SS is said to have the best techs and lab dealing with data gathering, better than FBI lab at Quantico. So if anyone can bury the data, the SS can. And FBI might not be able to find it ever.
