A movement to boycott Walgreens is bubbling up online after multiple customers reported employees denying them birth control and other forms of contraception, such as condoms.
In Hayward, Wisconsin, a cashier refused to sell Jessica Pentz condoms based on his religious grounds, per The Star Tribune.
In a Twitter thread, Jessica's partner, Nathan Pentz, posted the couple's customer complaint, which said the cashier, John, refused to sell them condoms because of his faith, then proceeded to embarrass Jess in front of other customers for her reproductive choice.

If there's something that you sell and I want to buy it - SELL IT!
If you don't want to sell it - CLOSE YOUR DOORS AND GET ANOTHER JOB!

(13,546 posts)What needs to happen is head of Walgreens needs to tell employees you will sell these products to people or you will have no job or become a person that stocks shelves during the day so they can keep an eye on them.

Many years ago we were told we would be working Sundays. Another worker told the plant manager that he couldn't work on Sundays because of his religion. The plant manager said that the worker had a decision to make. If he chose his religion we would miss him.

(5,851 posts)Walgreens is going to be sorry. There are plenty of drugstores. Hell, around here, if there's a Walgreens on the corner there's a Rite Aid across the street. It's like that all over my city and I live in a fairly small city.
