Donald Trump has admitted that he wanted to give himself the Congressional Medal of Honor as President, but was denied.

The former leader of the US admitted as much during an appearance at Turning Point USA's Student Action Summit, telling the conservative conference that he had pushed to be awarded the medal.

The President may award, and present in the name of Congress, a medal of honor of appropriate design, with ribbons and appurtenances, to a person who while a member of the [Army] [naval service] [Air Force] [Coast Guard], distinguished himself conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty.

Trump was CiC, but a civilian, he has no idea what gallantry and intrepidity mean, and he sure as hell never risked his life.

Among other concepts he doesn't get - oh, like, democracy, self-insight, modesty, humility - he didn't get one of the messages in The Wizard of Oz, that the outward *things* (medal, clock, diploma) are only symbols that get their meanings from the inner realities (courage, heart, smarts).

So if he freakishly gets unmerited outward *things*, they are meaningless.

Did they tackle him to keep him from doing something inappropriate?
