she knows what shes talking about. Her non-logic makes no sense though as most Americans are not looking to be christian nationalists, whatever that means. Apparently she doesn't get that church attendance shrinks every year. Just where is she going to get the christofascists to sustain the repub party?

Let her keep preaching the claptrap to her shrinking choir though as she has nothing else to do since being stripped of committee assignments by Madame Speaker.

Yesterday at TPUSA, Congresswoman MTG proudly referred to herself as a "Christian nationalist."

The crowd cheered, as did Rep. Matt Gaetz.

Anyone with even a passing familiarity with world history knows where this is going.

I guess they do already since they're against Antifa. I bet 99 out of a 100 MAGAts couldn't even tell you what Antifa means.

Creative Loafing Tampa Bay photographer Dave Decker caught photos of the neo-Nazis waving swastika flags, along with flags that read "DeSantis Country."

The group distributed flyers, one of which said "every single aspect of abortion is Jewish."

might shed some light. Look back to the America First Party of the minister Gerald Smith from the 1940's. Not to be confused with the isolationist movement of a similar name. Smith morphed it into the idea, along with support from the John Birch Society crowd, that America should declare itself to be a Christian nation. He also was virulently anti-Semitic and founded an organization called the Christian Nationalist Crusade to promulgate hate literature and media campaigns against Jews. He even ran for President in 1944 as the nominee of that America First Party. Notice how the rhetoric used then and now sounds similar? He closely aligned with a main fascist group in the US known as the Silver Legion of America. He was deeply tied to the Birchers and the anti-communist witch hunts in the 1950's. Remember old man Trump was heavily involved with these types.

Fast forward just a little to Patrick Buchanan who was a main adviser to Nixon. Buchanan is cut from the same mold as Smith with regard to anti-Semitism, bigotry and the idea that America should declare itself to be a Christian nation. The supposed liberal media, mainly CNN and MSNBC, kept having him on regularly to spout his nonsense. Same hate, ideas and words. Buchanan moved the Reform Party into the white nationalist sphere when he ran for President as their candidate.

Buchanan and his ilk immediately latched on to the Orange Ruski when he ran. All of these ideas, hate and bigotry flow through to the latest incarnation of bigots like Cruz, Greene, Boebert etc. They even use the phrase America First all the time. These slogans like MAGA etc. all are used as dog whistles for these people to let the "faithful" know they are here to carry on their hate.
