A Washington grand jury is going to indict Donald Trump (I Hope)

Last edited Thu Jul 28, 2022, 10:04 AM - Edit history (1)

Holt took another shot, asking if Trump became a candidate for president again, would that “change your schedule or how you move forward or don’t move forward?”

Here is Garland’s answer. Note his precise repetition of his language when it comes to stating the gravity of the crime they’re looking at: “I’ll say again that we will hold accountable anyone who was criminally responsible for attempting to interfere with the transfer, legitimate, lawful transfer of power from one administration to the next.”

Garland’s visage remained stony. It was obvious that he came to the interview prepared with legalese that had been thoroughly vetted, probably by lawyers in the DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel.

The fact that Garland gave the same answer twice using the exact same words is the tip-off. He wouldn’t talk about someone interfering “with the lawful transfer of power from one administration to another” unless the DOJ had been looking at the exact statutes the grand jury is being presented with to consider whether or not they have been violated.

Nor should you. But trust me, justice will be served for that. I have a sneaking suspicion that may have been a bit of a honey pot operation. They knew he'd take shit on his way out. They had to know. I'd be gobsmacked if there wasn't some prep for that.

The only thing to know or expect when dealing with this schmuck is that he’ll do whatever is sneaky or otherwise underhanded to wriggle out of danger.

Expect that and PREPARE for it.

try and look outside the box....You also may choose to just wait out until the indictments are served...

I sense we will see a busy end of August and month of September.

And does 'busy' mean more leaks and speculation? You say 'wait out until the indictments are served' like it's a foregone conclusion.

I'd happily be the OP of the crow eating thread on Garland, I just remain very skeptical Trump will ever be indicted.

In my opinion:

The clown show got aired for general awareness, debunking RW media. (very important to do!)

"What about" these gigantic issues?

• Congresspeople leading the coup on the ground. (and guided tours in advance)
• The pipe bomber
• Breaking every known records retention and handling of classified information law (including sending it off to Russia, which is espionage and treason)
• Coordinating the fake elector scheme.
• Coordinating the camouflaged assault with intent to commit mayhem on public officials, using idiots as cover.

These are extremely serious and we heard basically ZERO about them, so that must be the coordination with DOJ. You can't work up these cases in a public hearing. Prejudicial to a potential jurors? They are criminal charges.

My theory.

Justice matters.

to prove (along with the Georgia case). Once they will successfully indict, try, and convict all the mobsters who conspired together to obstruct Congress proceeding, AND get a conviction on that (AND appeals fail, up to the corrupt court), they'll go after all his other crimes and add them to the totem pile of criminality.

Shock his minions. I'd imagine that a first wave of indictments should rise above 12, with another wave coming after that. There should be no room for explaining away the indictments as cursory or incidental. That could most easily occur if there were one or two indictments-- then no one on the right would pay attention. But hit Trump with 12, maybe 16 charges, and it would be much harder to explain them away. And yes, even the emoluments should be added. Don't make the mistake of skipping over some crimes. Add them all up and keep looking for more. There's no way that a post-indictment Trump can be in the running for any office.

I don't care for Holt as I don't care for 90%of "journalists" like him who do not have the balls to be sincere trying to be on both sides.

Either you are with your country, with Democracy, in favour of the "rule of law" and "no one is above the role", or you are a hypocrite.

It just makes me sick the lack of courage these people have.

The country is already divided because of criminals like trump and the rest of the GOP, so don't give me that prosecuting a criminal would divide the country, not prosecuting these criminals will kill the country.
