President Bidens granddaughter says her wedding this fall at the White House will take place on the South Lawn.
We have finally figured out where the ceremony will be, Naomi Biden wrote on Twitter on Thursday.
And much to the relief of Secret Service and with the dogs endorsement
well be getting married on the South Lawn! Biden, 28, said.
Jill Bidens communications director announced earlier this year that the first lady and president would host their granddaughters Nov. 19 wedding reception at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Naomi Biden is poised to take the plunge with fiancé Peter Neal.

(38,574 posts)Not many people get to say that they got married at the White House.
And I imagine the Secret Service would be happy about this choice.
I imagine there are downsides to getting married at the White House too... but, all-in-all, I think this is cool.

(8,922 posts)so I'll agree with you about outdoor wedding in August.
But I believe it could be cold and maybe some snow on the ground in Nov.
I guess the best time is around Cherry Blossom season., maybe?

(7,871 posts)October would probably be better, but there may be conflicts.
Outside of a bad weather spell that no one can predict, DC is usually in the 60s around that time. I don't know what is considered good "wedding weather," but I would think 60s would be nice.

(11,107 posts)It's an incredible venue. The exposure of President Biden as a loving family guy can't be a bad thing.

(5,357 posts)..while there was a war going on (2.400+ US military deaths that year) -- and it was no big deal. Nevertheless, cons will pitch a fit about a Biden family wedding at the WH "while there's a crisis going on."

I suppose it will be at least another decade before the unfriendly monochrome gets a refit.

(27,045 posts)She got engaged at the WH and most likely wanted a WH wedding. She's been engaged for 2 years now and had considered Greece or somewhere else, but has settled on Mar-a-Lago for some reason.

I can't see Pendejo45 sing, plus I've never seen him smile.
