(11,058 posts)If it was Ginni, she had to get it herself from somewhere, so Clarence would've had to provide her with a copy, which would make him responsible.

(9,093 posts)It's a fairly straightforward A to B to C chain of knowledge. I mean, that relationship is some hell of a circumstantial coincidence.
And it doesn't require crystal balling to divine intentions based on political bias.
That's if I had to guess. Who knows. They'll probably never say.

(52,286 posts)I can't imagine a clerk going rogue to do this. Jeopardizing everything they worked for for an unclear purpose.
Surely one of the justices, or Ginni Thomas, convinced them to do it.
I don't think a justice would personally do it; too visible. Why would they risk getting exposed by a journalist or even by accident.
But I can see a justice thinking there might be a strategic reason to leak it, perhaps thinking they need to break it slowly so the people don't riot. And then having a clerk do the dirty work.
So the question is, whose clerk?

(65,179 posts)Roberts was trying to convince Kavanaugh to not overturn Roe v Wade, and after the leak, that become impossible. I think a conservative leaked it. Could have been a clerk but I chose Ginni Thomas.
