Jan 6 / Trump Indictment - I Truly Believe...

I completely and thoroughly believe that the reason why the January 6th hearings are dragging on, and the IG/DOJ is not pursuing Trump... yet... is because they are waiting for public opinion to turn against him.

And it's happening. Slowly, but it's happening. Given that, I believe that Garland should continue to wait, let the evidence mount, until EVERYONE has turned on Trump. Every single, last, corrupt, incontrovertible crony that Trump has, scared of going to jail, turns on him. And tells the committee that they KNEW Trump was wrong, KNEW what Trump was doing was illegal, let it happen for their own personal reasons, but are coming forward to save their asses, and because they are jumping off of a sinking ship.

Now that Murdoch/the New York Post has turned against Trump, even though they stop short of accusing him of a crime, I pray that that Fox News will turn on Trump next since Fox is Murdoch's puppy as well. Fox has 2 million viewers. If Fox turns on Trump, definitively, with cold, hard, un-ignorable facts, like "every one of his advisors told him he lost the election, even with recounts, even with attempted buying of state officials, even with planting false electors, but he created a scam - and made money off of it - to convince his followers that he won, got them to buy into it and go crazy and kill people", some people, not all, but some, might get the message. The man deserves jail time.

I think, if DoJ waits until AFTER the election, as the evidence mounts, they will prevent Trump from running again without jeopardizing the mid-term election. Which I think could happen if his base gets riled up, but they lose seats anyway. I think Warnock can beat Hershel. I hope Fetterman can win in PA. I hope Mark Kelly can keep his seat. It would be a dream come true if NC flips. Long shot, I would LOVE to get rid of Rubio. And, with a MIRACLE, I hope Abrams beats Kemp (I need to make another donation...)

it will be at least August 2023 before a trial and IF he is convicted he will appeal and that will take until late 2024
If the thugs steal the 2024 election he will be pardoned asap so he roams free regardless..
He knows this.

that since the level of corruption and sedition that happened -- and continues to happen -- by Trump & Co. that laws and procedures we're accustomed to, such as the trial and appeal process you mention, will not be applied I'm thinking of things proceeding more akin to military tribunals which are swift.

The GOP did not turn the committee hearings into their usual three ring circus.
And GOP officials are testifying.

This only happened with agreement from the top GOP echelons.

The J6 committee is providing cover for the DOJ to bring charges.

without top repuke leadership giving the covert nod, the vast majority would be fighting tooth and nail to avoid giving testimony to the J6 Committee.

Instead of Cheney.

And yes we would not be seeing at the GOP officials giving testimony.

My theory is that McConnell, one of the most powerful men in the US, decided to throw Trump under the bus. He cut a deal with the top Dem power brokers to let the committee proceed. So McCarthy pulled his people out of the committee. And Cheney went to work.

McConnell must truly hate Trump for this to proceed.

And in exchange McConnell got a promise that no GOP senators would be accused of anything.

If you notice, everything is about Trump in this hearing. Not one word about members of congress and their criminal activity in relation to J6.

All y’all are so smart

I hear you about pinning everything on tfg and letting Senators slide. That can’t be allowed to happen.

I want to know much much more about how it took hours to get backup to the Capitol police, for one.

They are only turning against him because they’ve been caught.
They could have removed him after the second impeachment

You have to look closely to connect the dots. Pay attention to what happens and doesn't happen.

I have degrees in psychology and political science. One of my poli sci professors was a long time Wash DC political operative who decided to leave the rat race and come to academia to teach.

He opened my eyes about how DC really operates.

Inside the beltway there are no secrets, and everything is a back room deal. But the time it hits the TV screens, everything has been decided and what we see is PR and political theater. He told us insider secrets that the students didn't believe, but years later he was proven correct.

Yes there are many unanswered questions. Why didn't the Cap Police get back up right away? Even in small towns with only three cops, a cop in distress gets damn back up asap.
The excuse that the Cap Police communication system broke down doesn't pass the smell test.

The insurrectionists had inside information and tours. Secret rooms were revealed. Panic buttons disarmed. Pipe bombs were planted.

We will know for sure a deal was cut to protect members of congress if none of this comes to light. Or perhaps a few MOCs will be tossed under the bus for PR purposes.

But if these questions are not addressed, we have our answer.

I do not think the J6 Committee hearings are "dragging on." Their investigation has been relatively quick, when compared to either Watergate or Iran-Contra, the only two examples in the same league. And as we know, this summer's public hearings have brought more witnesses and thus more documentation to them.

The DOJ is currently applying pressure to the weak links among the Trump cult. I think that we will learn that John Eastman flips in mid-October.
