Saudi ambivalence - an old fart rant

Am I losing my mind? Suddenly all the things that we should know about the Saudis, but don't, because of all the investigations that should have occurred, but didn't, are known to us all?

Sure 17 of the 19 9/11 hijackers were Saudis. The Bush administration put off a 9/11 investigation for 2 years then made sure no blame was places on the Saudis.

What could be more obvious than the murder of Khashoggi? What are we going to do about it? Nothing.

Jared just got 2 billion dollars from the Saudis for his little start up. Couldn't have done it without Cheetolinni.

Sure they've done terrible things. But the government of this country (the oil industry) has done all it could to see that those crimes go unpunished.

I remember when I could at least deceive myself into thinking this country had a little integrity. Now it's too obviously a cesspool of blood soaked money to maintain that leave of self deception. It is no more than system of institutionalized graft disguised as a champagne finance system. Thank you SCOTUS.

This country needs a hard reset. I hope we get a parliamentary system next time.

IMHO, there should be a rule that every rant about the Saudis must include one's target price for a gallon of gas.

I agree with you, and I also agree that the price of gasoline is way too low.

But what do you think the price should be?

Because we can't say FU to the Saudis and have gas at under $5 a gallon. One must choose.
