A Kentucky flood survivor saved her two children with a vacuum cleaner cord

Love this story - wish Incould help her

https://goodwordnews.com/a-kentucky-flood-survivor-saved-her-two-children-with-a-vacuum-cleaner-cord/

In the isolated howl of Bowling Creek in the Appalachian region of Kentucky, Jessica Willett held on to her two children as floodwaters submerged their home. They survived, but now face a daunting future.

As roaring floodwaters rose around her, Jessica Willett cut the electrical cord to a vacuum cleaner and tied herself to her two children.

The 34-year-old heard creaks and creaks as the force of the deluge fractured her prefab home perched on Bowling Creek, a remote and steep howl in Kentucky. The ground tilted and water poured out. His car parked outside was swept away.

corpses floating in the water she tells me from washed-out cemeteries...as the water got higher and higher Grandpa (sis was visiting with our cousins) said if it got any higher the kids would have to go on the roof and be tied to the chimney...luckily it didn't get any higher...my sister remembers being terrified...and people in that area and nearby areas died that night with flooding and mudslides...95 was shut down as I heard a couple of weeks at least.
