I early voted for the primary in May. Ohio had to have a special primary today because the jerk r's running the state (into the ground) keep submitting a flawed district map and the Ohio Supreme Court keeps rejecting it. I drove through road construction to vote at the polling place, not far from my house, but having to vote in 2 primaries because the jerks running the state (into the ground) are incompetent boobs is another ridiculous inconvenience and encroachment on my life.
I meant to early vote, but I got busy or didn't want to drive across town. My polling place is an old elementary school. They use the gym/cafeteria, and there are plenty of voting machines. Today there were plenty of poll workers, about 7. I was the only voter in there at the time. I didn't see any armed ruffians hanging out, so that was a plus.
Eben if I'm complaining about inconvenience, I am grateful to vote, and I will be voting in the general election November 8, 2022. I want to see a big blue wave knock the r's on their cans and get a real majority of elected officials who will work for us people. GOTV!

(2,181 posts)Going to vote as soon as my wonderful wife gets home from dentist. I cant believe that the Qpublican party just ignore laws they dont like. Ill let you know how many people there after Im done.
Hope your wife has a good visit. I'll look forward to your follow-up.
The r's have sent the flawed maps at least 3 times. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

(42,297 posts)Don't think there are any contested races in my precinct, but let the tally show another Dem voting. (Not working the polls today because we're between festival weekends and I haven't the energy to add a looooong workday in the middle; will work in November, tho!)

It works great, but we're Godless Communists, so...

(17,047 posts)I also did the ealry voting and dropped it off in a ballot box outside the Board of Elections office. But going in person to vote early at the Board of Elections office, or if I dilly dally, the polling place gets me out of the house.
If I go to the Board of Elections, I can get a free pen. They are pretty good pens, too
